As a manufacturer and supplier of undercover/covert surveillance equipment, we have been around long enough to understand that quality, value and reliability are still first and foremost in the eyes of our customers. By way of extensive research and development, we provide a wide range of cutting edge products including body wires for law enforcement, covert recorders, body worn video recorders, covert mobile video streaming solutions, and custom surveillance vehicles. From the outset, we have pledged a commitment to excellence, and from that pledge, we will not waiver. We fully understand that reliable equipment and the quality of service is the cornerstone of our reputation and we embrace the many challenges and opportunities that will lend to our legacy.
LEA-AID is a leading U.S.-based provider of security, surveillance and tracking technology, logistical services and training to law enforcement, military, security and corrections personnel worldwide. Based in Raleigh, NC, LEA-AID is the only U.S. owned manufacturer of covert surveillance audio and video devices in disguised housings. LEA-AID is also a U.S. distributor for Tracer High Performance Batteries (only US Distributor), DELTA Equipment Carrying Harnesses, Pelican Products, and PowerFlare electronic beacon products. LEA-AID is also the manufacturer and sole source provider of our Live Link product line, which provides real time video/audio streaming over limited or narrow bandwidths. The Live Link technology is included in all of our surveillance vehicles for manned or unmanned operations.
NATIA 2019 provided the opportunity to launch our new partnership with SONIC COMMUNICATIONS, based in the United Kingdom. LEA-AID was appointed to represent Sonic's specialist surveillance products and services in the U.S, to complement our existing range of security, surveillance and tracking products, logistical services and training to law enforcement, military, security and corrections personnel. Operating as Sonic's distribution partner, we will provide in-Country sales, technical and training support.
In 2004, Law Enforcement Associates Inc. acquired AID (Audio Intelligence Devices), one of the most respected names in the surveillance equipment industry. Many of our products feature the proven AID technology law enforcement departments, defense contractors and military agencies have come to rely on over the past 40 years. We also offer the most advanced covert surveillance devices (pole cameras, mobile video streaming systems, audio systems), GPS and tracking technology, under-vehicle inspection tools, storage, lighting, restraints and forensic equipment available today. In 2012, Law Enforcement Associates Inc. changed ownership and also changed its name to LEA-AID Acquisition Company or simply LEA-AID.
LEA-AID is proud to be a woman-owned small business (WOSB).
LEA-AID is committed to helping our clients protect and serve their communities. Our trained technical engineers and skilled service professionals understand your mission-critical goals and work with you to supply the tools, technology and services required to protect citizens and reduce the opportunity for crime and disorder in your community.
Law enforcement agencies have recognized the need for products and services such as ours to assist them in surveillance operations in order to protect their communities from the risks associated with illegal drug activities, threats of violence, vice operations, terrorism, graffiti related crimes, perimeter security, fraud, criminal operations, white collar crime, search and rescue, and any illegal enterprise. Our surveillance equipment is primarily marketed and sold to law enforcement agencies for undercover police work. Many of our newly manufactured products fall into different market areas as well; Retail Investigations, Corrections, U.S. Military, Homeland Security, First Responders, and Border Patrol are a few examples.
As a manufacturer and provider of professional grade surveillance systems and equipment, it is our vision to be acknowledged as the best provider of such products in the eyes of our valued customers.
Our committed technicians have been building covert body wires, recording devices, covert audio repeaters, audio receivers, covert pole cameras, surveillance vehicle platforms, and covert video equipment for law enforcement personnel for several years. If you currently have one of our audio transmitters, audio repeaters, or audio receivers, it's a good bet that the technician that built your unit is still here. In other words, our technicians are intimately aware of your existing surveillance equipment.
